Our client recognized the importance of reducing water use at her newly purchased home and tasked us with creating a beautiful pollinator sanctuary in place of her large turf covered front yard. Located on a busy street with heavy pedestrian traffic she also wanted to give back to her community. Our designers created the concept of "Book and Berries" which included an area along the sidewalk, fenced off from the clients yard for privacy, that featured a book sharing station, sitting boulders, and many edible fruits and berries for neighbors and visitors to sample! Her property now brings beauty and joy to the entire neighborhood, as well as visitors coming to walk the trails at Wonderland Lake. This project won Silver in the ALCC's Design / Build category in 2023!
